Burton Constable Company of Bowmen meet on Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday Evenings from 1st April to 30th September at 6pm and every Sunday from 13.30 to 15.30.
The club provides all the equipment you will need for your 6 weeks training which is normally held on a Wednesday evening. Then you are free to enjoy shooting with other club members on the more difficult targets. Coaching is provided most Wednesdays to help and train new starters and for the more experienced Archer’s to improve their skills, or lose their bad habits!. Once you have finished your training, you can use the Club’s equipment for up to 3 months, then you would need to purchase your own. Juniors can use the Clubs equipment for longer than 3 months. Once you have your own equipment you will quickly see an improvement in your shooting. There are regular competitions at the Club for the Club members and also some competitions with Archery Clubs from the Yorkshire region invited. Archery is a Sport for all ages and capabilities. Our youngest member is only 5 years old and our oldest member a lot older! How much does it cost?? We are governed by GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) and we pay fees to them. Adults GNAS & Club Subs = £52.00 per year Juniors GNAS & Club Subs = £11.50 per year Coaching = £20 for 6 X 2 hour sessions Please note :- GNAS members visiting/holidaying in the area are welcome to shoot at the club without charge.
